Downtown Columbus
Get involved in the fight against breast cancer by joining the Lifestyle Communities team in supporting the 2009 Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Columbus on May 16th! Register as part of our team and you will receive a cool Lifestyle Communities team t-shirt to wear on race day. Go to the Komen Columbus website for more information on the race and to register.
*The last day to join register online as part of the Lifestyle Communities team is Friday, April 24, 2009. For instructions on how to register as part of Lifestyle’s team go here.
Join Lifestyle Communities and GenNext on Saturday, April 18 as we help the Faith Mission Community Kitchen by creating urban gardens with their residents. Volunteers are needed to arrange wading pools with planting mixture and then plant cool weather seeds like radishes and carrots.
Additional projects include organizing household items that can be donated to residents when they get their own apartments, and cleaning up shelter areas at other Faith Mission locations in the King Lincoln neighborhood.
At 1 p.m., join us for the “Happy to Volunteer” hour at Tip Top Kitchen. Great times, food and drink specials are sure to be had by all!
Registration will talk place at 9:30 a.m. in the Faith Mission parking lot at 315 East Long Street (northeast corner of East Long Street and North 6th Avenue).Register now on the GenNext website at www.gennextcolumbus.org.
